Trusted Access Control for Critical Infrastructure
Belfast, Northern Ireland – 20th July 2026 – CEM Systems, part of Johnson Controls’ Security Products business unit, is proud to announce that its AC2000 access control solution has successfully achieved independent assurance under the UK National Protective Security Authority (NPSA) government framework.
As a result, AC2000 v13.0 has been added to the NPSA Catalogue of Security Equipment (CSE) under the Automated Access Control Systems (AACS) Scheme, confirming that the solution has successfully undergone independent evaluation against stringent physical and cyber security requirements.
By designing and manufacturing both the hardware and system software, CEM Systems provides a highly secure end-to-end solution with complete control over system integrity, performance and resilience. The NPSA-assured AC2000 platform combines hardened servers and workstations with tamper resistance, secure AC2000 web-based administration, encrypted communications and intelligent door controllers to deliver a highly secure architecture for critical environments.

At the heart of the solution is the CEM Systems DCM 200 intelligent two-door controller, which supports NPSA-certified OSDPv2 readers and AES-128 encrypted OSDPv2 communications. The controller also features encrypted key storage for smart card credentials, a locked-down encrypted internal database, and NIST-certified FIPS 140-3-compliant firmware, helping to safeguard sensitive data and ensure secure online and offline access control decisions. Designed for high-security environments, the DCM 200 enhances system resilience while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of critical access control information.
This latest accreditation marks a significant milestone for CEM Systems, demonstrating its commitment to delivering independently verified, high-assurance security solutions that support operational continuity and the protection of people, data and critical assets.
